Road side bomb targets bus in Mastung carrying Shia pilgrims – 5 dead, dozens reported injured

A bus carrying Shia pilgrims coming from Taftan (border to Iran – the country which has several revered Shia religious sites) was targeted in the terrorist infested town of Mastung near Quetta, the provincial capital of restive Balochistan province in Pakistan.

The attack happened despite an armed escort with 6-security personnel following the bus in a separate vehicle.

Mastung, an ethnically Baloch dominated enclave, is the city in which 26 Hazaras were singled out from a bus and executed in cold blood.

In the ongoing Genocide campaign targeting Hazaras and Shias, at least 800 Hazaras alone have been killed and several thousand injured. To date, for the past 10 years, the government has yet to bring a single terrorist to justice.

The Asian Human Rights organization, as well as many others, have alleged that the Pakistani security apparatus is providing safe haven and training to the terrorists.
